The first floor of the building that houses the Beach Chalet Restaurant is something to see. The walls are covered with these wonderful old murals that are characteristic of other places in SF like Coit Tower and some bank interiors. Just beautiful and so indicative of life long ago. Love the lady in the foreground with the newspaper, self-fashioned, sun hat. The restaurant is excellent with a tremendous view of the Pacific. It can be found just across from the Ocean on The Great Highway near the Big Windmill of Golden Gate Park.
This is great. There are so many wonderful mural in San Francisco. We took a tour once and saw only a small portion in one day. It is fascinating to look at the different artists and what they are trying to convey.
